De Unie As the largest collective labor agreement party, it is directly involved with MN. We represent the interests of our members by constantly having discussions with the bank. De Unie plays an important role in the creation of the collective labor agreement and the social plan. We do this together with an active executive group of Union members.
Then is De Unie there for you and your 1200 colleagues; professionals in various positions. You are busy all day long for, among other things, the pension of affiliated participants: employees and pensioners in the Metalektro, Metal Industry and Maritime. In a direct or indirect sense. Whatever position you work in at MN, we do a lot of things for you as an employee. If you are a member, we offer you many other services. Below are some examples.
We negotiate your terms of employment. Talks about a new collective labor agreement are currently in full swing. Our members have made a large number of suggestions for renewal of the collective labor agreement. But it won't happen by itself; it would help if more colleagues join De Unie.
As a member, you can have a say in the collective labor agreement, for example, by making proposals for topics that you consider important. We then discuss these with our members and take them to the collective labor agreement consultation. As a member you can also vote on the outcome of the collective labor agreement negotiations. After all, it is about your own employment conditions!
Reorganizations have taken place within MN in recent years and quite a few colleagues have lost their jobs. At the moment there is an intention under the name 'sourcing strategy'. In the long term, this will cost jobs, among other things due to far-reaching automation and robotisation. It is nice that you can turn to an involved trade union. Who listens to you, who knows the facts about the social plan and who can advise you as well as possible. Members are entitled to a free check of the settlement agreement (VSO): is the severance payment correct, is your unemployment benefit not at risk?
But we are also there if you ever have a problem at work. Then we will give you advice with which you can continue yourself. If necessary, we will contact your employer directly, but only if you want to. In the worst case you can contact us for legal help, but we prefer to solve it in a good conversation. We do this for members!
