The current collective labor agreement for the insurance business will run until 31 December 2021. Although this still seems a long way off, we will start negotiations for a new collective labor agreement in September. We would like to receive suggestions for our proposal letter before Monday 30 August. 's proposal letter De Unie will be sent to members on Monday, September 6. A week later, Monday 13 September, negotiations between the trade unions and employers will start with an explanation of the proposals. For the time being, September 13 is in the agenda as a physical appointment. We'll see if this stays the same or if we have to negotiate online.

Miscellaneous

  • The current collective labor agreement includes a scheme that makes early retirement possible, the so-called RVU scheme. What do you think of the agreed arrangement? Is it being used? Will you let me know? This can be done via my email address emanuel.geurts@unie.nl.
  • The current Social Agenda 2019-2021 ends this year and trade unions and employers want to renew it. Under the leadership of an external supervisor, representatives of employers and trade unions will start working on the Social Agenda for 30 and beyond from Monday 2022 August.
  • From the previous collective labor agreement 2020 a task force has been set up to develop a new, modern job and salary structure. The actual development of this has shifted to the period of the current collective labor agreement (2021). The parties to the collective labor agreement will tackle this after the summer holidays. I'll keep you posted on the sequel.
  • The parties to the collective labor agreement have also set up a joint working group for pensions to investigate what the national pension agreement (as far as is known) means for our collective labor agreement. Further legislation on this was recently postponed by the Minister of Social Affairs. The working group keeps track of developments and advises the parties to the collective labor agreement on the follow-up to the pension file for insurers in the sector.
