How did this final offer come about?
On November 23, 2022, we conducted the final negotiations for the Collective Labor Agreement Banks. During these consultations it became clear that the expectations of trade unions on the one hand and employers on the other differed to such an extent that this could not be bridged. This has been agreed between the parties. De Unie was faced with the choice at that moment, to end the negotiations, after all we could not work it out; or devise alternative solutions. This process led to the employers making a final offer.
What finds De Unie?
We started negotiations with the proposal to restore purchasing power. This has not been realized. But the employers have made it clear that this final offer is the most the employers can offer. We present this proposal neutrally to the members. It is up to you to determine whether this salary proposal, together with the other proposals, is sufficient for you or not.
Other subjects
- The commitment to include May 5 as a recognized holiday from now on is a positive development. This gives you an extra day off.
- The one-off payment of € 1.000 gross is a positive gesture.
- The RVU scheme has been included as a pilot in the current collective labor agreement. After evaluation of this scheme, employers have decided that the RVU scheme can be continued.
- The agreements on the working code are in themselves a positive development. The employers have accommodated the trade unions by including the principles of the work code. This will enable us to work towards equal treatment of employees with a permanent job and temporary workers in the coming years.

The members have received an invitation to vote. This is possible until Tuesday 13 December 2022.
