Cao Banks: draft proposal letter De Unie

November 04 2021

De Unie invited members to complete an employment conditions survey. This survey helps us prepare for collective bargaining. The information has also contributed to the draft proposal letter that I, representative Inge de Vries, here present.

I think it is important that the members of De Unie actually support these proposals. That's why I want de Unie- ask members to let them know whether you agree that these proposals will be submitted to the collective labor agreement consultation. Or that changes need to be made here. Union members may do this until no later than November 10, 2021 let them know.

Survey results

I would like to share the results of the survey with you.

Scope of employment

82% of members indicate that they work full-time, 18% have a large part-time job of 4 days a week. This is then reflected in the answer to the question of how many days you work from home on average. The majority of members work from home on average 3 to 5 days a week.

Homework allowance

The answers to the question about home work allowance and travel allowance provide a good insight into current practice. The employers' delegation has handed over a report that reports on the study into Working Differently. This study provides interesting information but does not discuss reimbursements.

Employability

Employability is an important topic in collective bargaining. In the survey I tested the familiarity with two employability instruments. The Vitality Scheme is known to all members, just over half of the members would like to make use of it. The career scan is less well known, apparently this tool is not included in the package of all affiliated banks.

The additional comments in the survey also suggested inspiring ideas related to employability. I will include these ideas in the collective labor agreement consultation

Early retirement

The voluntary early retirement scheme is popular with members. 88% of the members indicate that they are interested in this.

Parental leave

The importance of supplementing the WIEG Act was recognised, but less importance was attached to it. I have therefore chosen to include the supplement to parental leave in the proposal letter, as this is a more recent development in legislation.
