What preceded

Before the summer holidays, we consulted all employees via a referendum about the negotiated result of the collective labor agreement and the social plan. As you know, a large majority voted against the outcome of the negotiations. In the referendum, many of you have commented on your vote. These explanations have been analyzed and we see that VodafoneZiggo's wage proposal (in view of the high inflation) and the adjustments in the social plan were often the reasons for the vote against. The members of CNV and FNV also rejected the negotiation result.
On 5 July 2022, we discussed both the referendum outcome and the outcome of the CNV and FNV member consultations with VodafoneZiggo in a short meeting. It is important to mention that all parties in these consultations have also indicated that they want to talk to each other again in order to arrive at a new result that can count on the support of the majority of the employees.

The sequel

The collective labor agreement consultations will resume on 14 September 2022. In this consultation, VodafoneZiggo will give the first impetus to, and indicate a direction for, a new proposal on the topics of the term of the new collective labor agreement, the wage increase and the social plan. These will be (draft) proposals with which VodafoneZiggo intends to obtain the approval of the majority of employees, so that a new collective labor agreement can be concluded.

The role of the employee panels

In the run-up to the referendum, listening to all employees was central. This will also be the starting point for the follow-up process. The employee panels (who contributed to the DigiC survey in the previous DigiC process) then play an important role. For the future, the panels will act as a sounding board to test the proposals made during the renewed collective labor agreement discussions against the degree of acceptance by all VodafoneZiggo employees.
For this reason, 4 panels (of about 10 employees) are organized, again by independent research agency Innervoice. The occupation of the panels will be representative of the entire employee population at VodafoneZiggo. After the collective labor agreement on 14 September, there will be 4 panel discussions on 16 and 19 September; on both days at 09.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. The panels are then informed about what has been discussed in the collective labor agreement and what has been exchanged back and forth. And, important, the opinion of the panel members is of course of great importance and will be fed back to the collective labor agreement table
Register before September 8 if you want to participate in the panels. You can register here.

Finally

Depending on the follow-up talks between the trade unions and VodafoneZiggo, these panels may be convened more often to fulfill their sounding board function.
