Process

The fact that all VodafoneZiggo employees were allowed to cast their votes is no longer new. By now you are already used to this at VodafoneZiggo all employees can participate in the discussion and decision-making about the content of collective arrangements such as the collective labor agreement or a social plan.

The collective labor agreement parties (De Unie and VodafoneZiggo) commissioned research agency InnerVoice in November 2023 to conduct research into the preferences and opinions of VodafoneZiggo employees with regard to their employment conditions. To this end, 6 panel sessions were first held with groups of 5 to 10 VodafoneZiggo employees. A tailor-made survey was then developed with the 'results' of these panel discussions.

Ultimately, 3.025 colleagues participated in the survey at the end of 2023. A response rate of 45%. The research led to a clear report that gave us a good idea of what we had to negotiate with VodafoneZiggo and what our negotiating space was.

How further?

It goes without saying that the parties to the collective labor agreement strive to gain support from the largest possible group of employees. Although the negotiation result can count on the support of a majority of the employees, it is also important to consider the concerns of the employees who could not agree with the result.

De Unie As a result of the outcome of the vote, it will sign the collective labor agreement with VodafoneZiggo. In addition, it will be up to us in the near future to carefully analyze the outcome of this referendum together with VodafoneZiggo, as we did in the previous round, and to include it in the periodic discussions. Many employees have taken the opportunity to provide an explanation for their vote.

It is and remains important that all employees remain involved in and have control over their employment conditions. We have already made clear agreements about this with VodafoneZiggo.
