VGZ: Collective Labor Agreement 2021-2022

02 September 2021

The vote on the new VGZ collective labor agreement has ended with a clear result. The members of De Unie overwhelmingly agreed with the negotiated outcome. The members of the other trade unions have also agreed. The new VGZ collective labor agreement has now been officially established.

Rash

More than 75% of the voters were positive. The members who voted against had various reasons for this: they thought the collective salary increase was too low, and/or they were concerned about the pension scheme or VGZ's policy on the elderly. The comment about the salary does not come across as strange, the limited salary increase was one of the main reasons for this De Unie to present the negotiation result neutrally.

It is nice to hear that most members are satisfied with the negotiation result. Negotiations will now focus on your new pension scheme. Due to the change in legislation, far-reaching changes will have to be made to the pension scheme in the coming years.

Change of representative

These negotiations will be done by my colleague, Harma Pethke. After more than 10 years, it is time to hand over the representation of interests at VGZ to someone who takes a fresh look at it.

I am confident that my colleague will make an effort for de Uniemembers working at VGZ. You can reach her by email: harma.pethke@unie.nl
