ABN AMRO announced today that it has achieved the highest profit in years and will reward shareholders for this with the repurchase of shares. Unfortunately, during today's collective labor agreement negotiation it became clear that ABN AMRO does not want to reward employees for their efforts.
Today's negotiations focused on the wage increase that ABN AMRO wants to offer its employees. This wage offer was downright disappointing! ABN AMRO makes the offer dependent on the performance of the individual employee. In extreme cases, no increase may be granted at all.
