Heineken: Members meeting

December 14 2023

Heineken members have been invited to participate in a digital members meeting in which the negotiating delegation of De Unie/MHP Heineken will provide an explanation of the final offer of the collective labor agreement.

Join now De Unie. This is possible from 0,-

You can do this final offer here .
The digital members meeting will take place on December 20, 2023 from 13.00:14.00 PM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM.

Stemming

The members can vote on the final offer after the members meeting. The mood takes place both indoors De Unie as within MHP Heineken. The votes are not counted between both organizations. Voting is also done per entity. It is therefore possible that there is a difference in the outcome of the vote De Unie and MHP Heineken and a difference per entity (HNS, HG or HNL).

  • The members of De Unie received a link in the email for this during Wednesday afternoon, December 20, 2023.
  • The members of MHP Heineken will also receive information on Wednesday afternoon, December 20, about how members can cast their votes.
  • Voting closes on Wednesday, December 27 at 12.00 noon. So make sure that the vote is received on time.

Consequences of the voting outcome

The outcome of the vote will be announced separately De Unie and MHP Heineken are communicated to Heineken.
You can imagine that many variants are possible. It goes too far to explain everything in detail, which is why we would like to briefly explain the situation regarding the consequences of the vote.

  • If a majority of the members agree to the final offer, including the wage offer and the introduction of the MMRP outside the collective labor agreement as of January 1, 2025, we will communicate to Heineken that De Unie MHP Heineken has agreed. For the sake of completeness, we would like to mention that the possibility may arise De Unie/MHP if the union votes in favor of the final offer, but the other union(s) vote against. This will then mean that the final offer will not yet be converted into a final agreement. This all has to do with the setup De Unie/MHP in relation to the other unions and the way in which Heineken likes to conclude an agreement, namely on the basis of the consent of all unions. We can also explain this aspect further during the members meeting if necessary.
  • If a majority of the members do not agree with the final offer, we will of course also let Heineken know and ask for consultation. The goal is then to adjust the final offer in such a way that we can still accept the adjusted final offer. For this reason, it is important to indicate why you do not agree with the final offer and why we reject the final offer. What will have to be changed in the final offer to reach an agreement? You can indicate this in the comments field on the voting form that you will receive by email after the members meeting.
Here too, the outcome of the vote at the other unions is important. If they vote for and we vote against, we get the same question: does the other organization and Heineken want to agree on a collective labor agreement without us? It is also possible that other unions do not accept the final offer for reasons other than ours. In that situation too, we will of course ask for consultations to be resumed with the aim of adjusting the final offer.
It is uncertain whether Heineken will adjust the final offer in this situation. There is no obligation to do this. If Heineken is not prepared to adjust the final offer, we will determine what we will do in further consultation with you. In any case, we will then discuss concrete forms of action (including strikes).

Closing comments

We understand that it is a difficult choice. That is why we first organize the explanatory meeting and then the vote.
