CZ: vote negotiating agreement CZ

On Friday, July 9, 2021 De Unie concluded a negotiation agreement with CZ on a new social plan. Unfortunately, we had to take a step back on the severance payment. But the longevity of this agreement is positive. And improvements have also been made in other areas. De Unie therefore presents it to the members with a positive opinion.

It took some time after 9 July to correctly articulate the agreements made. This has now been done. The summary of the agreements and the explanatory notes are included below. Stemming

The negotiation agreement is only converted into a social plan if the members of the trade unions agree. Members have been notified to vote on this social plan. Due to the holiday period, there is an extra long voting period in force and voting can be done until Sunday 5 September 2021.

Summary

The most important agreements are:

  1. The term is from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2025, so a period of four years.
  2. The severance payment is calculated on the basis of the transition payment as determined by the government in 2020. This is a lower transition payment than agreed at the start of the previous social plan.
  3. We have agreed that the parties can enter into discussions if the government changes the transition allowance again (or implements another amendment to the law). This means that we have the opportunity to adjust the termination fee in the meantime. If one of the parties wishes to change the redundancy plan in the interim, you will be notified of this De Unie.
  4. At CZ's request, the period of preventive mobility will be reduced from twelve to six months.
  5. The pilot with a Voluntary Departure Scheme (VVR) has been successful. That is why this instrument is also included in this social plan. We have made clear agreements about the notice period because this led to questions during the trial. The minimum notice period is one month. If the candidate wants to leave immediately, this can only be done in consultation. The compensation remains nine monthly salaries.
  6. The severance payment for the group of employees up to and including the age of 39 remains unchanged with a correction factor of 1.1.
  7. As of 50 July 1, the category older than 2023 and less than ten years of service has a correction factor of 1.6 and is therefore included in the category older than 40.
  8. The category older than 40 years has a factor of 1.6 during the term, just like now. As of July 01, 2025 (ie after the term of this social plan) the factor will be reduced to 1.4.
