Negotiations

The collective labor agreement consultations started on 23 November 2021 with an explanation of the deployment of De Unie, the other trade unions and employers to arrive at a new collective labor agreement for Beverages. You can read this in my previous member letter via this link.

Monday, January 24, 2022, we continued to negotiate about that commitment. Employers immediately put their cards on the table and indicated that they are in a split. On the one hand they experience the negative effects of the corona crises and on the other hand they feel the pressure of the labor market to offer a collective wage increase.

Last offer

After several rounds of explanatory questions, suspensions and requests from employers to get a broader offer, employers wanted to clarify their (im)possibilities and made us a final offer. The main items from this offer are:

  • A collective labor agreement for a year from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
  • A collective wage increase of 2,5% with retroactive effect from January 1, 2022.
  • A two-year pilot with the Generation Pact (80% work/90% wages/100% pension) per
October 1, 2022 for companies with more than 75 employees.
  • Financial advice for employees during the 'crossroads interview' for employees aged 60 and older.
  • Introduction of a diversity day. Employees who have a different faith can exchange a collective Christian holiday for, for example, the Sugar Fest or Lichtjesdag.

With this offer, employers want to do justice to the interests of both employees and employers in the sector. Employers hope that by the end of 2022, the sector will improve again. The full text of the offer from employers can be found here.

Stemming

Now that employers have made their final offer, it's up to you to voice your opinion. Members have been invited to vote. If the members of the trade unions and the employers vote positively, there will be a new CLA for Beverages 2022.
