De Volksbank's Social Plan expires at the end of this year. This means that a new Social Plan must be agreed. We are in consultation with de Volksbank about this.

Proposal by De Unie

In the last collective labor agreement consultation De Unie already proposed to extend the social plan unchanged. We discussed this together with the executives. We are now again committed to an unchanged social plan. De Unie believes that this fits in with the strategy set out by de Volksbank. The strategy will also continue in 2025. That's why De Unie would like an unchanged Social Plan until the end of 2025.

Proposal by de Volksbank

De Volksbank does have a number of proposals to adjust the Social Plan. To know:

  1. Reconsider the added value of the preventive mobility phase.
  2. Increases in travel time when changing location will be reconsidered. This is because people work from home much more and travel less to the office.
  3. In addition, an adjustment to the severance pay for employees over the age of 50. De Volksbank wants to abolish or phase out this.
  4. Make an appointment for employees who have left with a severance payment and will have a job at de Volksbank again within a year.
  5. The functional lease car must be returned at the start of the redundancy.

What do our members think?

We will resume negotiations on October 23. De Unie would love to hear what our members think of the proposals.
