De Unie asks for a substantial salary increase on your behalf in these collective bargaining negotiations and we want to increase the cost reimbursement. Rightly so, because inflation is high and it is not fair if employees have to incur costs to be able to do their job.

 

What did we talk about?

The morning of the consultation on 14 December was used by the trade unions to raise issues that have received little attention in these negotiations. These were mainly subjects that do not directly increase costs. We cannot keep piling up the costs for UWV.

The following topics were discussed, among others:

  • It is now difficult for employees who do not agree with their job classification or job description to object. De Unie wants to make the objection procedure more accessible.
  • We have forwarded various collective agreements to study groups. The progress of these collective labor agreement studies has been delayed. We want to give the study groups a fresh start. This concerns, for example, the study that should promote that flex workers can get a permanent job.
  • The collective labor agreement has a stipulation that you must take purchased leave days in the same year. We want to delete this provision because it does not fit in with the savings leave agreement that is also included in the collective labor agreement.
  • It was agreed in the previous collective labor agreement that the employee can agree with his manager that the temporary vitality pact (6 months) will be enjoyed prior to entering the structural vitality pact. The intention was to get the entry age to 61 years and 6 months. In practice, this agreement appears not to be implemented. We want to discuss how to better write this provision.

The employer has also brought amendment proposals to the meeting, which include the following matters:

  • Scheme for working after state pension age
  • Procedure for submitting declarations
  • Mid-term cancelation

We used the afternoon to talk about improving the financial conditions of employment. The trade unions and the UWV investigated whether there were any possibilities to improve the terms of employment. The focus was on structural salary increases and cost reimbursements. The extension of the term in combination with wage increases is also on
came to order. During this conversation it became clear that the positions of the trade unions on the one hand and the UWV on the other are too far apart.
