What stands out?
Almost everyone agrees that the current standard lease amount is no longer sufficient. Electric cars are simply more expensive in lease value than comparable fossil fuel cars. This means that you have paid more net for the car. And that makes sense, because in almost all cases you just need that car for your work at the bank.
Do you think the arrangement is important?
You think the company car scheme is a very important employment condition. The monthly financial impact on the household budget is also significant. The personal development budget and work-from-home arrangements follow at a considerable distance. In your opinion, the anniversary payment requires little attention.
Do we find the scheme important?
There are also colleagues who believe that we should not make the leasing arrangement too important. After all, it concerns a limited group of employees. That is correct and our efforts on this subject will never be at the expense of our wage demand. But we believe it is unfair in principle if employees have to incur large additional costs to perform their work for the bank!
What else do you want to say?
There is clearly a sense of arbitrariness when it comes to who appears to be eligible for the scheme or not. The 15.000 km limit seems open to interpretation for managers. The holiday car as part of the scheme is receiving a lot of criticism. You pay even if you don't use it. Colleagues who no longer want/are allowed to use the scheme are switching en masse to fossil fuels. That is close to your heart. Charging at offices falls short in terms of speed and supply.
What now?
We will take the findings with us to the negotiations. Since only the standard lease amount is part of the collective labor agreement, we will focus on that. But your instructions are of course part of that conversation!
