Signify: reorganization

March 17 2023

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, we were informed by your employer about the announced reorganization at the Supply Chain Management and Purchasing departments. In Supply Chain Management this concerns 6,9 FTE (8 positions) and in Purchasing 10,8 FTE (12 positions) that will be cancelled.

Join now De Unie. You can do that from €0!

The reason?

The reason given by the employer is that they want to increase the operational management and performance of this department. This should also lead to cost reduction by not doing some work and/or bringing it abroad. For more information read here.

Lose knowledge and talent!

We regret that this is at the expense of employment in the Netherlands. We also still see the transfer of work abroad as a bad development. As a result, we lose the valuable knowledge and experience at Signify. We know from many experiences that this also has consequences for the quality of the work.

Turn on the OR!

According to our information, the requests for advice on the announced reorganizations are now with the works council of the head office. We hope that the works council will adopt a very critical attitude towards this proposed decision by the employer.

We are ready for you!

If you or your colleagues are affected by this, you can always contact us with your questions. Our lawyers are ready to provide you with advice. Unfortunately, we are afraid that this will not be the last reorganization at Signify. That's why it's always good to be a member De Unie to seek advice and assistance in such situations. So, if you don't already have a Complete membership of De Unie then it makes sense to quickly convert that into full membership. Signing up is easy via https://www.unie.nl/word-lid
