Shell: State of employment conditions outside collective labor agreements

What is since happened?

In previous newsletter it is indicated that Mrs. michon, Shell's VP HR, three of our executives HAD invited about this a conversation on 13 February 2024 with her and the new CEO, Frans Everts. In reaction on the uitnodiging paranormal gifts we indicate that we onder conditions yes in conversation wild ones.

The conditions were that the Union would Participate to the conversation and that we with three others executives wanted to join the conversation. Most non-collective agreement employees in Botlek are moderately satisfied with the wage increase that Shell has in store for them. The COR has stated that it has had no role in this so far and does not foresee any role in the future. Yes, for agreeing on secondary employment conditions, but not for primary employment conditions. The primacy for this lies with the trade unions. An opinion that is supported by legislation, regulations and case law in the Netherlands. The COR has indicated that it will bring the dissatisfaction among those outside the collective labor agreement to the attention of your employer.

On Friday, March 1, 2024, the representative sat down with our executives again to discuss how to proceed. We agreed that the three executives, without De Unie, will start a conversation with Marloes Michon and Frans Everts on March 12. Our executives will highlight the feelings of those outside the collective labor agreement about the wage development of the outside collective labor agreements and the differences that exist within Shell.

Na 12 March the outcome of the conversation is discussed with our executives. Dafter determine we with each other what now the most logical next step is. After we make a decision over to have taken, members will be informed about this.
