I submit these agreements for approval de Uniemembers for. A new social plan will only be established if the members of the trade unions agree with it. That's why I ask de Uniemembers for an opinion.

Here is the explanation on the negotiation result.

The negotiation process

The social plan is a general social plan, there are currently no concrete reorganisations. However, ONVZ does expect the social plan to be used in the coming period because jobs will be lost. The social plan that has recently been implemented had actually already expired for some time. ONVZ thought this social plan was too expensive to continue to apply. As you know, ONVZ is working hard on the “ONVZ on the move” program. Small steps have been taken in this, but not enough yet. Steps are still needed to be able to compete on the market as ONVZ. All this means that ONVZ has indicated that the company needs a less expensive social plan.

Change in transition payment

The severance payment from the social plan is based on the statutory transition payment, which we multiply by a factor to arrive at a reasonable compensation. The transition payment has been changed again by the government. The transition payment is therefore much lower, especially for employees aged 50 and older with a long employment contract. We have therefore increased the multiplier for this age group to 2,35. This no longer brings us to the level of the previous social plan. This is in line with ONVZ's wish to agree on a less expensive social plan. The change in the transition payment has a positive effect on young employees with a short employment contract. The reduction in the multiplication factors is therefore slightly greater for this group.
