Holland Casino: Draft collective labor agreement proposals

The collective labor agreement for Holland Casino will expire on 1 October 2023. A first exploratory collective bargaining meeting is scheduled for July 17, 2023. Below you can read our draft collective bargaining proposals. The members can respond to this until 28 June 2023 at the latest, after which they will be adopted.

Loon

At least 12% structurally for everyone as of October 1, 2023.

We speak of a minimum of 12% because Holland Casino came up with partly absolute amounts in the latest collective agreement, so that the wage increase in terms of percentage is higher for one group than for the other. De Unie is not in favor of this income policy, if you do that with every collective labor agreement, the wage structure will eventually become skewed.

How do we arrive at 12%? In 2022 inflation averaged 10%. De Unie in addition to the inflation compensation, also wants a 2% improvement in purchasing power. We propose a term of the collective labor agreement of one year.

 24/7 arrangement

After consultation with the trade unions, Holland Casino temporarily introduced a 2022/24 scheme in November 7 for working between 04.00 a.m. and 07.00 a.m. We want to include this arrangement definitively in the collective labor agreement. In any case, the hours between 04.00:07.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX must be paid extra.

Extension of travel expenses scheme

Employees who have to work at a different location as a result of a reorganization are temporarily compensated for the extra travel costs they have to incur. The scheme expires and we want to talk to Holland Casino about extending this compensation scheme for a minimum period of one year.

May 5 recognized holiday

De Unie wants everyone to be able to be free on the day that we in the Netherlands celebrate that we live in a free country. May 5 must therefore be included as a public holiday in the collective labor agreement. If Holland Casino wants to remain open on this day, employees who work on that day will have to be compensated.

Sustainable employability

The options for working shorter hours as people get older should be expanded, for example with a variant of 60%. Then this person would be paid for 75% and for 100% pension. De Unie wants to discuss several variants with Holland Casino.

Super joker

Everyone gets 6 super jokers per year. A super joker is a day that you can use to bet - at least 7 days before the start - guaranteed to be free. This is very important for an adequate work-life balance.

De Unie is realistic: Constraints must be built in for practical implementation. For example: maximum number of super jokers per day, per location, per department, available and not available on very busy days or holidays.

Aging Employee Policy

We want to start the discussion about improvements for the aging employee. We are thinking of the reintroduction of the senior citizens scheme and better application of the RVU.

Pause problem CMC/D

We believe that the break problem of the CMC/D, who work a shift at TAF, should be solved. Consultations will be held with Holland Casino on this matter again on 17 July. If no result is achieved, this subject will be part of the collective labor agreement negotiations.

Informal care

The results of the investigation must be included in the collective labor agreement to be concluded. Members have been invited to fill in a response form. This is possible until June 28, 2023.
