Collective labor agreement consultation NN-group 1 June 2021

June 02, 2021

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, we took another step in the collective labor agreement consultation. In the previous collective labor agreement consultations, it was agreed to discuss the content with each other, and to focus on what connects us. We hope this will bring new impetus to the consultations and create room for all parties to take decisions that will make a collective labor agreement possible.

Report June 1, 2021

In the meeting on 1 June, the trade unions on the one hand and NN on the other provided more insight into their considerations. It was a good conversation. There are various subjects where all parties see a common interest.

We share the view that we should look at existing pay gaps between employees in the same salary scale. And we want to see whether it is possible to accelerate the growth opportunities in the salary scale. De Unie has always insisted that extra compensation should be given to the group of employees who are already professionally mature, but who are nevertheless still paid at the bottom of their pay scale.

A second example is the pension, all parties realize that we need to make a serious start with research into a new pension scheme. De Unie urged not only to discuss the future scheme, but also to investigate whether it is possible to mitigate the accrual tax credit.

A third example is improving the internal labor market. NN wants to invest in retraining employees for positions with prospects for the future. This is also in the interest of the employees.

Differences

It was a good conversation, but we also have to conclude that there is still a lot of work to be done. The collective salary increase and the social plan are the most important topics for the members of De Unie and the other trade associations. And it is precisely on these two subjects that NN's vision is very different from the expectations of its members. We did not explore this issue further on June 1.
