ABN AMRO: What do you think of the proposal for a valuation premium?

March 21 2024

On Monday, March 25, we will speak further with ABN AMRO about the new collective labor agreement. Last time we included the members in the bank's current remuneration proposal. We have received many responses about the amount of the offer, we will share the clear signal with the bank. We have also received substantive feedback from our members on the way in which the bank wants to organize rewarding and assessment. It is important to tell us how you view the proposed form and system of rewarding and assessing. This determines how we can conduct discussions with your employer about this. Read below how you can easily share your opinion with us.

The valuation premium

As we shared before, our wallet has multiple compartments! We treat these boxes separately. We are now particularly curious about your view on the valuation premium as proposed by the bank. Read the employer's proposal again below:

The appreciation premium is a one-off payment that can be awarded at the end of the year, depending on performance. This premium has no influence on the growth in your scale and does not count towards holiday pay or pension accrual. The assessment takes into account all 4 themes of Together & Better. Namely: results, behavior, development and bank receipt. The proposal for the amount of the valuation premium is as follows:

  • 0% for underperformance
  • 2,5% on performance as expected
  • 5% for an above-average performance

The bank indicates that with this proposal they want to offer the opportunity to reward above-average performance. They also want to offer the opportunity to reward employees who are at the end of their scale. The bank indicates that this need exists among employees, which can be deduced from a study, according to them.
