Time-by-time arrangement

Your working hours start at the start of your shift; you are not obliged to start your work earlier. In practice, it does happen that people start earlier, for example to start up the systems, even if this is not necessary. That's not officially working time. In addition, there may still be a queue at the end of your working time, which means you cannot stop at the actual end time. The bank and the unions have agreed that you will then receive extra leave hours to compensate for this time worked outside your work schedule.

One-off compensation from May 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024

The unions and the bank looked back to May 1, 2022, the date on which the current opening hours of Customer Care came into effect. Any additional working time before May 1, 2022 will not be compensated. For the period from May 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024, you will receive a one-off 32 hours of extra leave retroactively (in proportion to your working hours (assuming 36 hours per week) and length of employment).

Compensation from January 1, 2024

From January 1, 2024, you will receive 20 extra hours of leave per year (proportionate to your working hours (assuming 36 hours per week) and length of employment). You cannot have this leave balance paid out. This leave balance will expire upon termination of employment or a transfer to a position outside Customer Care & Operations.

For who?

The agreements made apply to everyone who worked in rosters in the field of telephony, chat and webcare within Customer Care & Operations from May 1, 2022. So also for temporary workers. Employees and temporary workers who no longer work at the bank from February 12, 2024, cannot take the extra leave balance and will therefore be paid out.
