Future Pensions Act

At the end of May, the Senate also voted in favor of the new pension law. This means that the Future Pensions Act (WTP) formally entered into force on 1 July 2023. You can read more about this here find. The SBZ pension fund also informs its participants. For example, there are webinars about various pension items follow or review. Furthermore, the fund explains what the new pension system means for your income for later.

New pension scheme

The trade unions and employers are discussing a new pension scheme among themselves and also with the pension fund. For example, the last time we discussed the transition plan, the net profit calculations, compensation scheme, disability pension and the timeline up to the introduction of the new scheme.

Negotiations

The social partners have planned pension consultations this year on August 24, September 12, October 10, November 7 and December 4, 2023. We will also organize a round table meeting for the parties involved in August or September. The subject of this meeting is the choice of the pension contract, namely the flexible or solidarity pension scheme. If we opt for the flexible pension scheme, the pension administrator Achmea Pensioen Services (APS) can administer this as of 1 January 2025. If we choose the solidaire pension scheme, the commencement date will be after January 1, 2025, because APS is not yet able to implement the solidaire scheme. Of course members of De Unie immediate involvement.

Retirees

In addition, a meeting will be scheduled in September between the social partners and the delegation of Achmea pensioners. They have reported to the pension fund and, according to the pension law, groups of stakeholders have the right to be heard. Members of De Unie have, of course, direct influence through their right to vote in an agreement.
