Periodic consultation report 15 June at ING

Various topics were discussed at the periodic consultation at ING on 15 June 2023. For example, we discussed the lease scheme and shift work. But the OHI research and financial coaching were also on the agenda.

ING periodically participates in the Organizational Health Index. This is a comparative benchmark in which the opinion of the employees is the input for important measurement points. ING scored poorly in the last OHI index. Shorter exams, the OHIpulse, are held between two OHI exams. With this pulse survey, ING focuses on four priorities. In the recent OHI pulse, research was done into Strategic clarity, customer focus, role clarity and operational discipline. In the eyes of the employees, ING now scores better on all four measurement points than in the last OHI survey.

Financial well-being

Financial wellbeing is an agreement from the collective labor agreement. Employees can have a free consultation with a financial coach. The financial coach can help you with a variety of financial matters
issues. I hope that this offer has added value for the employees.

Standby control

At the end of 2023, many Tech employees had to run an unusual number of standby services (consignment services). This has led to a large number of complaints. About the heaviness
of the standby service, about the lack of adequate compensation, about unequal pay and about not properly complying with the Working Hours Act. Unfortunately, the collective labor agreement negotiations did not offer the opportunity to make agreements with ING about improving the standby scheme. The OR Tech has taken up this topic. Of course supports De Unie the works council in word and deed.

shift work

De Unie has been working for some time to improve the shift schedule from the collective labor agreement. Few employees work shifts at ING. But it is also important for a small group of employees that the collective labor agreement is correct. The consultations with ING are not progressing quickly, but progress is being made and I expect that we can achieve something for these employees.

Lease arrangement

In the final offer, ING indicated that it would improve the lease arrangement. The new lease agreements have now been published. At first glance, the scheme appears to have improved. Are you
