UWV: Employment conditions scope for 2024

April 13, 2023

The member report of 4 April 2023 indicates that the trade unions are already looking forward to the next collective labor agreement negotiations. After all, the UWV depends on the budget allocated by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment for the employment conditions scope for 2024. This budget is fixed after Prinsjesdag (third Tuesday of September). So, in order to create room for employment conditions for UWV, we have to get to work on time.

Letter trade union federations

The first step has been taken. The trade union federations operating in the government sphere have jointly written a letter to the cabinet. Trade union federations are the representatives of trade unions in The Hague; De Unie is connected to the AC. In this letter, the trade union federations call on the cabinet to include more structural wage room in the spring memorandum. You can do the letter here read. This letter was also sent to UWV on behalf of trade unions.

turn on UWV

The Board of Directors of UWV must start negotiations with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment in good time. Hopefully, the Board of Directors will do this on its own initiative, inspired by the example of the trade union federations. On May 2, 2023 De Unie open consultation with UWV. We will then ask the employer what is being done by the Executive Board to increase the scope for employment conditions by 2024.

And the employees

We have previously asked members to take this into account De Unie will return to this subject later this year. Trade unions jointly draw up an action plan. Members will receive more information about this later.

Open consultation

During the open consultation with the UWV on 2 May 2023, we will discuss the details of the collective labor agreement, the progress of the study agreements and current affairs at the UWV. We can also put questions that come from members on the agenda. Is there something going on in the department that worries you and your colleagues? Then please contact us. This can be done by sending an email to: inge.de.vries@unie.nl. We would be happy to make an appointment with you to go through the question with you.
