The issue surrounding the proposed decision to leave the European Headquarters in Sittard and transfer the employees to Amsterdam and Chemelot has been going on for more than a year now.
In business economic times that are disappointing and that call for limiting expenditure, you would expect that this plan would also be shelved for the time being.
The works councils of Sabic Limburg and Sabic IP have submitted the issue to the Enterprise Chamber. The Enterprise Chamber will consider this on Thursday, February 8 between 13:00 PM and 15:00 PM.
This hearing is public and anyone who is involved in this proposed move or who is otherwise affected by Sabic's plan is welcome to attend this hearing in Amsterdam for consideration. The hearing will take place in the Amsterdam Courthouse at IJdok 20.
Works council – elections upcoming
This year, elections will be held for the works council (OR) of Sabic Limburg. Works council work is already fascinating under normal circumstances. The challenges facing companies like Sabic in the Netherlands also make a seat on the Works Council challenging.
