On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, consultations took place with Philips and ASML. ASML has indicated that it wants to provide the employees to be taken over with the ASML employment conditions during the transfer. Whether we can agree with that starting point depends on the way in which we can arrange the transition to ASML with the employers involved. We want to do this in the most favorable way possible so that employees are better off than if they were to rely on the legal provisions regarding transfers of undertakings.
Individual agreements are respected!
ASML has already indicated that current working from home agreements will be respected. This also applies to other individual agreements, including in the field of ancillary activities. If agreements have already been made with Philips to this effect, these will be respected provided they do not conflict with ASML products/services.
Providing insight into employment conditions
We are currently working with the employers involved to properly identify the differences with the current Philips employment conditions so that the transition can be as favorable as possible. For example, there are still questions to provide us with insight into the current salary perspective versus the salary perspective at ASML. There are also still questions regarding, among other things, the generation pact, RVU and the CSP.
Compensation for higher pension premium
In short, negotiations have now got underway after an initial introductory discussion. We will have a follow-up meeting on Monday, September 25. In addition to the above points, we will also hear from ASML how they want to compensate for the higher pension premium.
