Negotiations collective labor agreement MITT

In December 2022, trade unions and employers last negotiated in the MITT, in particular about wages and the generation pact. Then we didn't get it. The differences were too great between what employers offered and trade unions asked for. After that, trade unions and employers went back to their supporters. Discussions subsequently started in various companies about the lack of a new collective labor agreement and the action(s) to be taken. Next Tuesday, February 14, 2023 we will talk again about the new collective labor agreement MITT. Hopefully this will lead to a breakthrough of the current impasse and on the way to a new collective agreement MITT.

Retirement

From 2e The House of Representatives voted in favor of the new pension law in December 2022. Now it's up to 1e Chamber to give their opinion on it. On January 17, 2023, they began considering the law. You can find more about this at https://www.werkenaanonspensioen.nl/.

The industrial pension fund MITT is also involved in informing its participants. For example, the fund explains what the new pension system means for your income for later https://www.pensioenfondsmitt.nl/de-toekomst-van-uw-aow-en-pensioen/.

The trade unions and employers hold regular talks with each other and also with the pension fund about current pension matters and the new pension scheme. For example, we recently discussed the financial position of the fund, the contribution and accrual in 2023 and indexation. A new consultation with all parties is scheduled for Thursday 20 April, so it will be continued.

MOI

Feel like and time to develop yourself further? Take a look at the moi.-calendar and reserve a spot in your calendar. For example, what do you think of the Undesirable Behavior Workshop or are you participating in the International Day of Sleep? There is something for everyone this calendar year.

Pilot labor market communication

Many employers in our sector are faced with shortages on the labor market due to factors such as seasonal influences, an aging population and an unfamiliar image. De Unie has started an initiative to develop a labor market communication toolkit with six employers from various MITT divisions. Companies can use this toolkit in recruitment activities and promotion of working in the sector. The participating companies are now being approached for interviews about their labor market issues. I'll let you know as soon as the toolkit is ready.
