Collective Labor Agreement ING BANK 2020

On November 23, 2021, I, representative Inge de Vries, had periodic consultations with ING.

As announced, the extra collective days off in 2022 has been discussed. The pilot unlimited leave has also been extensively discussed. The consultation on the mobility card has been postponed because ING needs more time to think about solutions for the identified disadvantages.

We only had to briefly discuss the topic of working from home. The work from home advice is clear. De Unie has urged that consultations be held if the government announces measures that could affect the employment relationship.

Collective days off

It appears to be difficult to find collective days off that everyone can relate to. ING is not prepared to pay compensation to employees who already have a day off on the collective day off. So we have to choose carefully. However, we can no longer choose the collective days off for the year 2021. That is why I would like to once again urge ING to compensate for these collective days off. In addition, it was agreed during the collective labor agreement negotiations that recognizable free time should be created. This therefore forces a connection to national holidays.

We will probably schedule one of the collective days off on Boxing Day, with the agreement that this day will be scheduled on another day if December 27 falls on a weekend.

ING would very much like to designate May 5 as a collective day off. This also includes the agreement that this collective day off will be shifted to May 1 (which is a bank holiday) in the lustrum years or if May 5 falls on a weekend.

We expect to be able to announce a final appointment fairly soon.

Pilot unlimited leave

I had a meeting with the scientific researchers who are supervising this pilot for ING. This consultation was useful, but we are not quite there yet. The researchers recognize that working from home and limitations in normal life have had an influence on taking leave. If we start the pilot again in January 2022, you will probably start with the same problem.

On the other hand, employees insist on haste. It is not pleasant that there is still uncertainty as to whether or not you are covered by the pilot.

Mobility card

ING has developed a new travel expenses scheme. This has become necessary due to hybrid working. For some of the employees, the new travel expenses scheme is an improvement. But in part it is a deterioration. In particular, the maximum reimbursement of 65 km commuting per day when traveling with your own transport is causing unrest. ING indicates that this limit does not apply if you come to work by public transport.

Many people also do not like the abolition of the reimbursement for private travel.

The next consultation about the mobility card will be scheduled as soon as possible.

Next periodic meeting

The last periodic meeting of this year is on Friday 17 December.
