ING Bank: Amsterdam Strike Call!

March 31 2023

The colleagues in the north-east of the Netherlands have set the ball rolling in Leeuwarden. Now is the time to move on. The strike at ING now has the full attention of the media and the ING management. Time to show that the ING employees in the North-West Netherlands region also stand for a fair and future-proof collective labor agreement for all employees.

Op Tuesday, April 4, 2023 is it time. The relay strike then continues Amsterdam. Do you work in the ING locations in Amsterdam (such as Acanthus, Cedar, Maple, BMG, TRC, Haarlerbergpark) or in one of the regional offices or ING houses in the provinces of North Holland, Utrecht and Flevoland? Then you can show what you stand for on April 4th.

Taking action pays off

It is unfortunate that ING has allowed it to come to this. But apparently the management of ING needs this wake-up call. Without the efforts of you and your colleagues, the wage offer would still have been 2% as of October 1, 2023. Taking action pays off. That has been proven.

Encourage your colleagues to join!

We will strike and meet in Amsterdam on Tuesday, April 4. The strike in Amsterdam must be impressive, because only then will we show the management that it is serious. Therefore, together with your entire team or department, move en masse so that the management can no longer ignore the message of the employees. Your message is: retention of purchasing power, higher salary increase, better labor relations, reduction of work pressure. These are normal agreements for a healthy working environment.

A high turnout makes our negotiating position stronger

A collective bargaining conflict can only be resolved at the negotiating table, with a new collective bargaining agreement. Trade unions want to be strong if ING invites us again. Your readiness for action, your massive turnout on Tuesday will have to be decisive. On Monday we will send the members a newsletter with all the necessary information.
