When does the notice period start?
By law, you must always quit your job by the end of the calendar month. The notice period then starts from the first day of the following calendar month.
This means, for example, that if you have a notice period of 1 month and you terminate your job in writing in March, you will still have to work in April so that you will leave your employer on 1 May.
Please note: your employment contract or collective labor agreement may contain other agreements. Please review this carefully before submitting your cancellation.
