The new Pensions Act (Wtp) has been in force since July 1, 2023. For employees at ING, this means that their pension plans must be adjusted to comply with the new legislation. These adjustments must be included in a so-called transition plan. This transition plan must be ready no later than December 31, 2024.
Memorandum of principles
De Unie has drafted a memorandum of principles. You can read this memorandum here. On the basis of these principles we want to enter into negotiations with ING. Negotiations must lead to a transition plan for:
- the transition of the ING-CDC Pensioenfonds (ICP) to a pension scheme in accordance with the Wtp;
- the possible transition of the closed pension fund, Pensioen Fonds ING (PFI).
ICP
The main part of the memorandum concerns the adjustment the pension plan operated by ICP, which is your current pension plan.
PFI
The PFI board intends to move to the new pension system. The fund can only do so if collective bargaining parties (employer and unions) cooperate. For this reason, PFI is also mentioned in De Unie’s principles memorandum.
