On Oct. 6, 2023, FrieslandCampina announced a major reorganization. Huge cost cuts are being made, much of which will affect Europe. This is guaranteed to lead to job losses!
Join De Unie now. You can do so from 0,-
Social plan
The course of these job losses will follow a social plan. FrieslandCampina wants a new social plan, written specifically for these reorganization plans. The current social plan is mainly written for plant closures and their consequences on jobs at those locations. FrieslandCampina does not consider this social plan appropriate for the current Expedition 2030 plans. Therefore, De Unie is currently consulting with the employer about these terms. This affects everyone affected by the reorganization. You can discuss what is important to you!
Information session
We therefore invite all FrieslandCampina employees to an information session via Teams about the social plans on Tuesday evening, October 17, 2023 at 20:00. Do you want to receive an invitation?
What will this information session be about?
In this session we explain the responsibility of the works council and unions during a reorganization. We will explain how a social plan works and what you may expect to see in a social plan. Any questions you have about a reorganization and a social plan can be asked during this information session. There will also be plenty opportunity to discuss which conditions would be important to include in this social plan. What should we think about?
Why would I want to be part of this?
We make an agreement at the collective level about the conditions with which employees will be affected in the reorganization. Think about the way of matching on still existing vacancies, the principle of separation, the compensation in case of possible mandatory departure. Employees can discuss this and indicate what is important to them. We will include this in the social plan negotiations with FrieslandCampina. This affects the employees directly. Once the scheme has been agreed with the unions, it will be legally binding for everyone within FrieslandCampina.
The process
On October 17, we will gather input during our information meeting. We will have a follow-up meeting with FrieslandCampina on November 1.
