This week, the new cabinet was sworn in, and the coalition agreement has now been analysed by the Central Planning Bureau. We have given our initial reactions in the media regarding the far-reaching government plans concerning our social security. We have therefore received many signals and questions from concerned members over the past two weeks.
Now is the time to find out in detail what these plans mean for social security and what De Unie is doing about them. Let one thing be clear: De Unie finds these plans, in their current form, unacceptable. For now, they are ‘merely’ plans, and there is still a long process to go through before they can become reality. The debate on the government’s policy statement has also begun today. This means that anything could still change.
