Our experts help you in all sorts of ways: they resolve legal disputes for you, provide insight into your pension, and offer career advice. What's more, we represent your interests during negotiations with your employer or trade association. If you take out a Complete or Extra membership with us, you'll also benefit from a variety of advantages – even if you're already retired. In this article, we'll tell you all about it.
Direct help
Our colleagues are available for you every working day from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You can call or email our Service Centre, or you can also ask your question via chat. When you contact us, we will try to help you as quickly and effectively as possible. If it turns out that your question requires more time to answer, we will refer you to our legal specialists or pension experts.
Legal advice
Wherever possible, our legal advisors help to prevent problems concerning your work and income. And if a conflict does arise, for example with your employer or a benefits agency, we'll work together to find a solution. We'll inform you of your rights, provide you with useful advice, and negotiate with other parties. If necessary, we can communicate on your behalf or even take legal action – even if there are no collective labour agreement negotiations taking place.
Understanding your pension
For many people just entering the job market, retirement feels a long way off. They know it's important, but delving into it and preparing? That can wait. This is risky, because before you know it, ‘later’ is now. That's why our pension specialists help you gain insight in every stage of your career, in a personal and understandable way. So you know exactly where you stand. Now, and later.
Negotiation assistance
As a trade union, we have traditionally had an important role: representing you during collective labour agreement negotiations. And we still do. We are at the negotiating table at many companies and industry associations, where we fight for good terms and conditions of employment. We truly listen to you, and we keep you informed of progress.
Additional legal expenses insurance
As an Extra member of De Unie, you get – as the name suggests – something extra. Namely: comprehensive legal expenses insurance from DAS. This covers a wide range of things, including:
- damage and personal injury sustained in traffic
- damage caused by others to personal property
- disputes over health insurance or your health, such as a workplace accident or medical error
- Inheritance law
- Neighbour law
Membership benefits
We prefer to support you in all aspects of work, income, and care. However, to do so, we naturally need the expertise of other parties. This way, you can take advantage of their services and products at a low cost, from your first working day until well after your retirement. Think of lease cars, health insurance, and help with informal care.
Join now, this is possible from €0.
