According to our information from the management of VDL Nedcar, employees were informed today about the second phase of staff reductions, resulting from decreased production due to the previously announced departure of BMW from Born.

According to our information, this phase mainly involves the phasing out of supporting (indirect) functions. In addition to roles being eliminated, there will also be role changes and organisational adjustments. This will create new opportunities for some employees to be redeployed internally. Unfortunately, this will not apply to everyone, which means some roles will still be made redundant. As a result, a number of employees will become surplus to requirements.
