UWV has issued a final offer for the 2026/2027 collective labour agreement.
De Unie has put this final offer to a vote amongst its members with a Full membership. These members will decide whether or not this collective agreement is concluded.
Voting is still possible until Monday 31 August, 4 pm.

Extra general meeting
Due to an error in the invitation, not all members were able to attend the general meeting on Thursday 27 August. At the request of several members, an additional general meeting has been scheduled to give everyone the opportunity to discuss the final offer.
Members have received an invitation to the extraordinary general meeting on Monday 31 August from 9.30 am to 10.00 am.
Actions against the erosion of social security
I would like to draw your attention to an important issue. The government is drawing up plans for far-reaching changes to the social security system for workers in the Netherlands. The trade unions are taking action against this. De Unie is represented in this by our trade union confederation, the VCP. You can find more information about the VCP’s position here Read. In the run-up to Prinsjesdag (15 September), the trade unions are stepping up these actions.
I have asked your employer to let employees who want to take action to preserve social security do so during working hours. Your employer has refused this. This genuinely surprises me. From an employer like UWV in particular, you would expect understanding (and perhaps sympathy) for these actions. After all, we are standing up for the interests of UWV's clients.
Take action
On Tuesday 8 September there is a demonstration in The Hague, which is being organised by the joint trade unions. I want to call on members to attend the demonstration and send a signal to politicians that social security is important. The chair of the VCP, Nic van Holstein, will speak at this demonstration.

Another general meeting
On Monday 7 September, De Unie is organising an online members’ meeting at 10.00 am to discuss two topics:
– actions for the preservation of social security in the Netherlands
– discuss outcome vote final offer UWV collective labour agreement
