As is well known, the pension system in the Netherlands is changing. A number of matters were already agreed between Signify and the trade unions earlier this year, such as the choice of the Collective Defined Contribution Scheme. Subsequently, the details of the Collective Defined Contribution Scheme had to be worked out further.

Further details of the scheme
The content of the new scheme has been developed in cooperation with the trade unions in a transition plan. The opinion of the Association of Pension Recipients (FPVG) has meanwhile been sought on this transition plan. This has led to a few adjustments to the plan.
Members' consultation
The next step is that the transition plan will be submitted to the members with Complete or Extra membership of the trade unions. If the members with a Complete or Extra membership agree to the transition plan, this will be submitted to the board of the pension fund.
Philips Pension Fund Management
The fund board is asked to implement this scheme as of 1 July 2026. They will accept this assignment if they believe the plan offers a balanced outcome for all target groups (active members, former employees who still have their pension with the fund, and pensioners).

The joint trade unions believe that the new pension scheme is an important step towards a future-proof pension system. With this scheme, we retain the core values of solidarity and collectivity, while simultaneously responding to the changing needs of the future.
