Over the past week, it has been proposed to start the collective labour agreement negotiations in early October 2026. After the summer break, we hope to have an overview with the planned dates.
To ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible and to allow for sufficient preparation time, we will issue a call for proposals by the end of July, asking which topics members would like to see included in our proposal letter for the upcoming collective labour agreement negotiations.
Proposals for the new representative
Tommy Piccirillo started as representative on 1 June and is gradually taking over this portfolio from Hans Korver. To give you a chance to get to know Tommy, the introduction below has been added:
‘I am Tommy Piccirillo, 35 years old, and I have Italian roots. My career began seventeen years ago in retail, where I worked in the supermarket industry. After a few years, however, I decided to take a different direction and return to studying. I chose to study law. This was a choice that aligned well with my interest in social issues, industrial relations, and regulations.
For the past seven years, I have been employed by a service provider. There, I have held various positions, including secretary and programme manager for labour economic and legal affairs. In these roles, I have dealt with diverse issues in the areas of the labour market, terms of employment, and (legal) advocacy. Additionally, I am active as an external registered confidential counsellor within several companies and foundations.
What characterises me is a combination of commitment and a strong focus on collaboration. Whether it's my work, my family, or my passion for cooking: I believe in the power of connection. Petition
The Trade Union Confederation for Professionals (VCP) has launched a petition to protest against this government’s plans to cut social security spending. De Unie is a member of the VCP. You can support this protest by this online petition to draw.
