Report meeting 19 April 2021
As part of this exploratory study, the research agency Innervoice-MWM2 presented the results of the employment conditions survey. The trade unions were able to put questions to the researcher. This ensured that all trade unions were brought up to the same level of information. The survey provides a representative picture of the views of ASML’s employees. De Unie had already adopted the survey itself, but this was not the case for all trade unions.
ASML Vision
ASML then provided insight into the main conclusions that the employer has drawn from the survey. ASML names three policy areas where, according to the survey, employees want improvements:
Work-life balance
- Sabbatical leave
- Parental leave
- Flexibility in public holidays
- Generational Pact
Appreciation and reward
- Profit-sharing schemes are not a subject
- Extend the salary scale bandwidth
- More flexible growth table when determining individual salary increases
- Promotion criteria must be clearer
Sustainable employability
- Vitality policy
- Effective unlocking of existing resources
- To offer advice for personal development
- Multi-year programme to achieve cohesive sustainable employability policy
Your employer has not yet presented any concrete proposals. That would not be appropriate at this stage either.
Next meeting
On 26 May 2021, De Unie and the other trade unions will hold a further meeting with ASML.
