Golf sector: Result of consultation on collective labour agreement 2022/2023

02 September 2022

Some time ago, De Unie reached an agreement on a new collective labour agreement for the golf industry. Over the past few weeks, employees in the sector have been informed of this via their employers.  Having been given the opportunity to provide input at the start of the collective agreement negotiations, they have now had the chance to express their views on this outcome via a new survey (once again organised by an independent research agency). The results are now known.

Nearly 450 employees have given their opinion. 73% from their side, they voted IN FAVOUR of the collective labour agreement outcome. And that is a clear result!

For De Unie, sufficient support amongst all staff for the new collective agreement has always been an absolute prerequisite for signing it. With this representative result, this condition has been met.

And although the outcome of the vote is therefore clearly positive, we are not deaf to the arguments of those who voted against the result. We will also take their reactions and opinions on board in all the studies and developments (such as vitality, choice budget, remuneration and pensions) that we will be carrying out in the coming collective labour agreement period.

We would like to thank all employees from the golf sector who responded for their reactions. Partly due to their involvement, and after what we consider to be too long a period without a collective labour agreement (CLA), a new CLA is finally on the way.

As soon as everything has been formally finalised, the first pay rise (4% with effect from 1 January 2022) will be implemented as soon as possible (including with retroactive effect), in accordance with the agreement reached.

Kind regards,

Huug Brinkers
Senior representative
