Contract catering, hospitality and inflight: negotiated result collective labour agreement 2026 reached!

05 January 2026

In previous newsletters, our representative representative Emanuel Geurts reported on the (informal) discussions that De Unie held with employers in the contract catering sector in order to reach a Contract Catering Collective Agreement 2026 after all. It was no easy task, but we have managed to reach an agreement with many employers.

Key points from the negotiation outcome

  • Period: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
  • Salary development where a condition for an increase is that the employee has been employed by the employer for at least one year at the time of the increase. Job groups 1 and 2 follow the increases in the statutory minimum wage.
    • In Parts A and B, wages in scales 1 and 2 will be increased by the statutory minimum wage. As of 1 January 2026, this will be 2.16%.*
    • In Part A, salaries in scales 3 to 9 inclusive are increased by 2.5%.*
    • In Part B, salaries in scales 3 to 11 inclusive are increased by 2.5%.*
  • Inflight: 2.5% pay rise with effect from 1 January 2026
  • There is no longer an FBA/FBS contribution, so there will no longer be a deduction of 0.2% from your salary.
  • A one-off payment of € 225 gross, calculated on a pro rata basis according to length of service. Employees must be in service on 1 October 2025 and still be in service on 1 October 2026.
  • The terms of employment in Part A are guaranteed. No further changes will take place, other than the commuting allowance growing when it increases for Part B.

This is the summary and all agreements from the negotiation outcome that you can read here.

Employers

Both employers' associations Veneca and VOCC will dissolve themselves as of 1 January 2026. The majority of employers who were previously members of an employers' association have indicated they will sign this agreement and are therefore a party to the Contract Catering 2026 collective labour agreement. Employees working for the participating employers have the right to vote on the agreement.

Speeches and follow-up

Now that a negotiation outcome has been reached, De Unie is keen to hear the views of our paying members. They have until 13 January 2026 to give their views on the negotiation outcome. If the members approve the agreement, a new collective agreement will be in place and the pay rise can be implemented with effect from 1 January 2026 (with or without retroactive effect). The text of the new collective agreement will then be drawn up, and I will send it to you digitally as soon as it is ready.
