Kick-off meeting
We have reviewed the past negotiation process, discussed the planning and staffing of the collective labour agreement projects, and drawn up a rough schedule for the negotiations.
The evaluation was only brief; we are satisfied with the process and the outcome. Following the positive voting result, calm has returned to Aegon.
The collective labour agreement projects that must be carried out during the (remaining) term of the collective labour agreement and the social plan concern the modernisation of the (texts of the) collective labour agreement and the social plan, the use of financial advice, the future of the early retirement scheme (RVU), research into equal pay and the (preparation for the) upcoming pension negotiations.
We have also looked at the scheduling of bimonthly periodic consultations between trade unions and Aegon. The sub-schedule for the elaboration of the study agreements is still to follow, but runs from March to August with an extension up to and including December 2025.
We estimate that we will need about five rounds of negotiations led by an external process facilitator. To be scheduled once every two to three weeks from late September to early December 2025. As soon as there is more clarity, we will inform members further.
