Result
Research agency Innervoice has established the following results: 5217 employees have cast a vote. These employees voted as follows:
- 66% approves the outcome of the collective agreement negotiations
- 34% does not accept the outcome of the collective agreement negotiations
Look here the official results from research firm InnerVoice.
This result means that there is broad support for the outcome of the negotiations and, as a result, De Unie will be able to convert the outcome of the collective agreement negotiations into a new collective agreement.
Process
It is no longer new that all employees in the Technical Wholesaler have been allowed to vote. By now, most of you are already used to the fact that at the Technical Wholesaler all employees can participate and have a say in the content of the collective labour agreement.
Commissioned by De Unie and the Technical Wholesale Employers’ Association (WTG), the research agency InnerVoice delivered the final report in May 2025. This report sets out the findings of an extensive survey into employees’ perceptions of terms and conditions of employment in the technical wholesale sector, as well as their suggestions for improving these terms and conditions.
The outcomes of the research ensured that we knew well what we had to negotiate with the WTG and what our room for manoeuvre was.
The negotiations started in June of last year. Following this, we met four more times to negotiate the new collective labour agreement, and on 11 November 2025, we reached a preliminary negotiation result. On 9 December 2025, the final negotiation result was achieved, on which the employees were able to vote.

What next?
Naturally, the collective labour agreement parties strive to find support among the largest possible group of employees. Although the negotiation result can count on the support of a large majority of employees, it is also important to acknowledge the concerns of the employees who could not agree with the result.
As mentioned, De Unie is set to sign the collective agreement. In addition, it will be up to us in the coming period to carefully analyse the results of this referendum together with the WTG and to take them into account in our regular discussions. After all, many staff members have taken the opportunity to provide an explanation alongside their vote. It is, and remains, important that all staff continue to be involved in – and retain a say over – their terms and conditions of employment.
