Housing services: ultimate collective agreement offer

Last week I, advocate Emanuel Geurts, informed you in my newsletter about the package currently on the table and the vote that would follow later. Below, as promised, I will give you a further explanation of the negotiations and you can read the response of the employers to the 'Sound of the workplace'. Final Negotiations

After a morning, afternoon and evening of negotiations, a nice package of employment conditions has been put on the table except for one point, namely the wage for the second collective labor agreement year. As also emerged from the 'Sound of the workplace', the wage offer was too low and (partly because of this) there was little enthusiasm among the grassroots for a two-year collective labor agreement. Employers have taken a big step in the last round on wages for the first year. Unfortunately not also for the second year. There was also a lot of irritation among supporters about the lack of retroactive effect for the wage increase. Noise from the workplace   

We still had a response from employers to the booklet 'Sound of the workplace' that was offered. Employers complimented all colleagues who took the trouble to contribute and also the trade unions for this action. They would have liked to have done this in co-creation. They found the insight valuable and mentioned the enormous involvement, the critical voices about wages, concerns about work pressure, but that employees also feel appreciation.

Vote and sequel

Now that employers have made their ultimate offer, it's up to members to voice their opinion. They can cast their vote until Friday 8 April 2022† If the members of the trade unions are positive, the wage increase can be processed retroactively in April. The other terms and conditions of employment will then also be incorporated into the new collective labor agreement for residential services 2022-2203.
