De Unie, in your interest

Your collective labor agreement and industry

Will you be our new advocate?

30 September 2021
vacancy, four chairs

We are looking for three new, enthusiastic advocates!
Are you that positively minded professional advocate who supports members individually and innovatively in the field of their work and income?
And do you know how to surprise at the collective bargaining table? Then you are our dream colleague!

Intro

Trade union De Unie is fully committed to its members and their colleagues. We believe that they deserve security and happiness around work and income. Obviously, it takes time and effort to get that done. Fortunately, we have you, our enthusiastic and committed advocate.

What will you do as an advocate?

Traditionally, a trade union representative comes into action during negotiations on collective labor agreements and social plans: the opportunity to establish attractive employment conditions for members for a longer period of time. Obviously this is your moment to shine. Thanks to your up-to-date knowledge of employment law, modern vision of employment conditions and solid negotiation skills, you succeed time and time again in contributing to the well-being of your supporters.

But we expect more from you. You are not a traditional craftsman or woman, but an advocate in the broadest sense of the word. You also do everything you can to optimally support your supporters between negotiation processes. This means, among other things, that you always maintain close contact with them, employers and trade associations. That you continue to actively connect and build bridges. And that you always try to spot opportunities, possibilities and developments that you can use to your advantage – that of your supporters.

Who are you?

An enthusiastic, positively minded professional who can distinguish main issues from side issues, who knows how to get to the core flawlessly and who can communicate clearly about this with our members. Of course you stand your ground during negotiations with directors of companies and trade associations, which can sometimes get quite tough. You always look out for the interests of your members and do everything you can to promote them – even if that requires some creativity and you have to go off the beaten track.

You have:

  • at least a relevant completed HBO education;
  • experience in advising and negotiating employment conditions;
  • broad knowledge of HR, labor and social insurance law;
  • preferably also an understanding of pension (systems);
  • heart for our mission and members;
  • have no problem with being on the road.

We offer

An independent, varied function within De Unie: a professional organization with a contemporary and innovative view of modern advocacy. Broad support for collective bargaining in the workplace is central to this. We also offer you:

  • Salary depends on your experience but will be around € 5.000,00 per month
  • Informal working atmosphere with committed colleagues
  • Lots of room for own initiatives and personal development
  • Leased car and laptop
