On June 1, 2022 De Unie talked to UWV again. The following topics were on the agenda:

  • Status of collective labor agreement projects
  • Variable pay 2de echelon
  • Hybrid work
  • Work from home facilities

Status of collective labor agreement projects

One of the collective labor agreements is to make it possible to take savings leave. UWV is working on a concept savings leave scheme. We will discuss this proposal in the open consultation on 21 June 2022. The collective labor agreement text is almost ready, it will probably be possible to publish the collective labor agreement before the summer. The other agreements are still being worked on.

Variable pay 2de echelon

The intended decision of UWV to increase the variable remuneration for the 2de echelon to abolish has been formalized. The employees involved have received an offer. Members of De Unie get assistance from the legal department of De Unie.

Hybrid work

UWV has conducted a work experience survey (WBO). This research was mainly focused on the experience with hybrid working. De Unie has received a comprehensive summary of this research. The outcome gives a diverse picture, I can extract a lot of information that is useful for the upcoming collective labor agreement negotiations.

UWV has developed a new tool on which you can enter your commuting expenses. This makes it possible to indicate that you have traveled part of your journey by public transport and part by your own car. This has been made possible to enable employees who rightly complain about the too low reimbursement for car kilometers to travel part of the journey by (better compensated) public transport. Until now you had to choose between public transport or other transport, now combining is made possible. Does this help you? Or not? Let me know at inge.de.vries@unie.nl

Work from home facilities

All employees of UWV have received an allowance for furnishing their home workplace. Unfortunately, this did not lead to a financial advantage for all employees. This applies, for example, to employees who receive a WIA or WGA benefit or to employees who have a housing benefit or are undergoing debt restructuring. UWV has set up a counter to help employees who find themselves in this situation. Do you have questions about this? Contact the representative, Inge de Vries, at.
