Royal Philips: Improved CLA result

May 12, 2021

On February 16, 2021, we presented our members with Philips' final offer for a new collective labor agreement and the majority of our members have agreed to this. At the same time, the outcome was not positive at a number of other trade unions. Philips still wanted to conclude a new collective labor agreement with all trade unions, and for that reason we have again entered into consultations with the employer. After having spoken very constructively a number of times, all parties were able to agree on the enclosed new outcome for a new collective labor agreement with all the trade unions involved.

The new negotiation result includes an improved wage offer. In the first year 1,6% (with a floor of € 400) instead of 1,3% and in the second year 2,1% (with a floor of € 600) instead of 2.0%. The Company AOW scheme (Early retirement) has also been formulated somewhat more broadly in terms of positions that qualify for this. The amount that the employer will pay to the participants is paid on a monthly basis instead of all at once, because of the tax benefits for employees.

Since the majority of the members of De Unie has already agreed to the earlier final offer, the new improved result does not have to be submitted for approval again.
