Metalektro: collective bargaining agreement has started!

The negotiations for the new collective labor agreement Metalektro have started! De Unie goes for a good wage increase that takes into account the current inflation. The position of the Senior Staff must be improved. We also believe that the collective labor agreement should remain attractive for all ages. Our introduce are basically as follows:

Wage and term

De Unie is committed to a collective labor agreement for 12 months in view of the uncertainty surrounding the purchasing power of colleagues. We want a structural wage increase for those 12 months that corrects inflation, plus 1% extra wages with a minimum of EUR 100.

Senior staff position

De Unie wants to abolish the discriminatory collective labor agreement for senior staff. We no longer find a collective labor agreement that makes a distinction between agreements based on the salary you earn. Everyone, including senior staff, should come under the basic collective labor agreement. This would mean, among other things, that the salary increase should also be applied to everyone.
We also want to make agreements about supplements in the event of illness. This supplement should not have a maximum. In the event of illness, you should receive a supplement based on the actual salary you earn.
The income thresholds that apply to RVU and Generation Pact should be abolished.

Making additional work more attractive and abolishing overtime

De Unie would like to make it more attractive to work full-time. At the same time, De Unie that the obligation to work overtime lapses. Overtime contributes nothing to being permanently and sustainably at work. We also want preventive medical examinations to be available to all colleagues. Prevention is better than cure.

Attention for young and old

The Metalektro collective labor agreement is available for all ages. De Unie would like to make appointments for all ages. Among other things, we want to introduce mentor days where older employees can be used to guide younger colleagues in their career in the sector.
