The preparatory meetings took place in a good atmosphere. Two formal rounds of collective labor agreement consultations have now taken place. De Unie notes a difficult start to the collective labor agreement negotiations. The consultation will continue on June 8.

In any case, we have focused on preserving the purchasing power of our members. The system of the Retail collective labor agreement is always that it moves along with the increases in the minimum wage. The cabinet has decided to increase this additionally in the coming years. That can also offer perspective. De Unie prefers a relatively short term, starting point is one year. Depending on other agreements, other terms are also negotiable.

Work and private life is the main theme of De Unie† We wanted to modernize the collective labor agreement in this regard. We would like to discuss this with employers. The most important theme is: how can I more easily attune work to private life; schedules and working hours are of course of great importance.

We also want a salary survey. The purpose of this is to see to what extent the cut of the wage increase is actually applied and what needs to be done to get rid of this agreement.

Shortly after June 8, you will be kept informed about the progress of the collective labor agreement process.
