DAS: voting social plan

April 14, 2022

On December 31, 2021, DAS's social plan expired. The trade unions and HR DAS negotiated three times in January, February and March. On April 6, 2022 we came out together. Below is an explanation of it and the request to cast your vote on it.

The term of the new social plan is three years from 1 January 2022. The most important change is in the severance pay, which in the previous social plan was based on the Work and Security Act (WWZ). The Balanced Labor Market Act (WAB) now applies, whereby the severance payment is lower than in the WWZ. For DAS, the WAB was the starting point in the negotiations on a new social plan, and for the trade unions the level of the entire social plan was determined. We think we've found a nice balance there.

The correction factor for the lump sum payment for employees under the age of 40 will be reduced from 1,5 to 1,25 and for those aged 40 to 50 will be reduced from 1,6 to 1,5. For the 50 to 60 year olds, the correction factor is increased from 1,7 to 2,0 and from 60 to 1,7 from 2,75 years and older. On the whole, the severance pay has decreased, in particular due to the transition from the WWZ to the WAB.

We found the compensation in a supplementary scheme for employees who move from work to work. If you have a new job with a lower salary within three months of your employment, you will receive a supplement of a maximum of 20% over a maximum period of 24 months. With each year of service at DAS, you build up two months of supplementation.

We are canceling the preventive mobility phase and the associated voluntary departure scheme. This part was not applied during the term of the old social plan. HR DAS informed us that it was unable to carry out this. If it's not going to be used, there's no point in leaving it there.

The pre-redundancy will now be a maximum of two months. During this period, other positions are being sought internally for employees who are pre-redundant.

Finally, we have agreed that there will be an external chairperson for the objection committee and that the regulations of the objection committee will become part of the social plan.
